Lisbon, Portugal

It is Wednesday morning. I’m back at the Fabrica cafe. I had a long sleep (around 8 hours) but I still feel groggy. A little here and a little there. I’m hoping this large hot latte will slap some sense into me. It has a quadruple shot of espresso built into it and frankly, I need all the help I can get. Now, I’ve come across an interesting item on X (blessings from the algorithm gods) and it has led me to order a Kindle book from Amazon which I now have in my possession. The book is titled A Secret History of Portugal by Miguel Carvalho Abrantes and it’s just what I have been looking for since this project began. This gets into the deep lore of Portugal and the forbidden history of Lusitania.

Lusitania, of course, is the ancient Roman province that covers what is present day Portugal, as well as most of the western part of the Iberian Peninsula, south of the Douro River and Merida, Spain. Nowadays, the term is used as a poetic or classical alternative to the modern Portugal. The name Lusitania immediately brings to my mind the doomed RMS Lusitania, the British ocean liner that was sunk by a German U-boat when it was torpedoed in 1915, during World War 1, off the coast of Ireland. But not before delivering one Aleister Crowley safely to the shores of New York City in the year 1913.

Crowley is suspected of having a hand in the downfall of the ship, as he was actively promoting Pro-German propaganda in the States with the aim of agitating America to join the war effort on the side of the UK, against the Germans. And the sinking of the ship helped to do just that. Woodrow Wilson would use the attack on shipping lanes as the motivation to declare war on Germany. Whether or not Crowley played a direct role in the fate of the ship, his presence on its decks did not bring it any good luck.

The other day, responding to an X post about John Dee, I commented “Dee signed off as “007”—Masonic symbolism for Tubal Cain or two ball cane (a walking stick with two balls).” Imagine my surprise now, when I find this in the opening chapter of A Secret History of Portugal:

“A few years ago I was attending a Philosophy of Myth class at the University of Coimbra and, for some now-forgotten reason, the professor randomly mentioned that the city of Setúbal, supposedly the oldest in the country, had been founded by Tubal, a grandson of Noah, after the famous biblical flood.”

This effectively opens up the floodgates (pardon the pun) on a corpus of occult lore that I had only suspected of lurking in the shadows of Portugal. As well, it is a nice little occurrence of synchronicity. What is “synchronicity” you might ask? I think Tracy Walters in the movie Repo Man explained it succinctly. In the scene where Walters (as a Repo Man) tosses a copy of Dioretix: The Science of Matter Over Mind into a dumpster, he tells Emilio Esteves that most folks view life as a series of disconnected events, as they “don’t realize there is this lattice of coincidence that lays on top everything.” He gives an example: “suppose you’re thinking of a plate of shrimp…suddenly someone will say ‘a plate of shrimp’ out of the blue, no explanation.”

Ophiussa, the Land of Serpents, and the Seven Hills of Lisbon.

Referencing Ora Maritima, a Latin iambic poem written by Roman author Avenus in the fourth-country AD, we get the legend of a mysterious race of beings named the Oestrimini who once inhabited the area of Portugal. Scholars suggest that the last name indicates serpents, either mythological beings of half snake, half human origin, or simply serpent worshippers. This “serpent race” was eventually driven out by humans.

In Greek mythology, we find that our hero Ulysses arrives in Orphiussa, located at the mouth of the Tagus River in present day Lisbon. Orphiussa means “Land of Serpents” and the legend speaks of a race of snake-people living there, ruled over by Queen Ophiussa. Ancient renderings of this Queen picture her as having an upper body of a beautiful woman and the lower torso of a powerful massive serpent. As the legend goes, the Queen falls in love with Ulysses and offers him riches and wealth (not to mention sparing his life) if he hooks up with her. Ulysses hooks up, plays along for a time but eventually escapes one night with his sailors by ship. In a rage, Queen Ophiussa chases Ulysses to the shore and with her massive serpent’s tail thrashing and undulating, creates the Seven Hills of Lisbon.

It’s a heart warming tail, no doubt. And since I am currently situated at the foot of one of these said hills, I think it is time to finish up my coffee and take a hike to the top where is located the Castle of St. George. Which reminds me, St. George had his own dealings with a snake, or a dragon. Indeed, he was hard pressed to slay said dragon, to the honor of the princess. In so doing, he became the patron Saint of England, Spain and yes, Portugal. Here also is another example of serpent iconography. In a general sense, it speaks of an ages old struggle between two species at each other’s throats, that of the warm blooded humans and the cold blooded reptilians.

This brings us to present day and the recent online debate over conspiracy theories related to reptilians in the White House. This stems from a viral video of Susan Dell (wife of Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies) during an October 7 appearance with Donald Trump at the White House. Social media users are suggesting that Susan Dell’s stiff, reptilian like posture, expressions and unblinking wide-eyed look are evidence that she is in fact a shape-shifting lizard person and member of the “reptilian elite” that rules the world.

Susan Dell, before and after.

That’s a tall order to suck down with your morning latte and the reality may be a bit more sobering. Chances are, she is just another victim of cosmetic surgery. Note the rigid facial expressions indicative of routine procedures like fillers, Botox and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). These all can render a person’s face with a restrictive taught look.

David Icke is of course, the greatest exponent of the reptilian elite theory which he has been expounding since 1999. Icke asserts that world leaders and the Global Elite are in fact shape-shifting reptilian alien beings who reside in another dimension. They rule over humanity, mining the herd as it were, as one grand “loosh” farm.

However, as our ancient iconography shows, David Icke did not invent the reptilian hypothesis. He is playing on an ancient theme, tapping into our deep seated and even unconscious anxiety towards our green-skinned, cold blood cousins. Ages old paintings depicting a race of half-human, half snake beings could be indicative of something else—hybrids. That is, the splicing of human DNA with that of reptiles. With that being said, there may be a completely different explanation regarding the Susan Dell conspiracy. She may simply have been replaced, like Paul McCartney was back in 1966. At least, that is what they tell me.
