On June 30, 2026, the House Oversight Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets held a hearing on the CIA’s MKULTRA project titled “Mind Control and Accountability: Uncovering the Truth of the CIA’s MKULTRA Experiments”. Led by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), it examined decades of government secrecy, the destruction of files, and calls for full transparency.
