They’re back! Yes, the drone/UAP flap that was causing disruptions in the Scandinavian airspace two days ago has returned. On Thursday morning (September 25), Danish authorities said that drone incursions overnight had closed two airports and affected operations at military installations.

Police confirmed that Aalborg airport—used for military and commercial flights— was forced to shut down for three hours. Denmark’s second largest airport, Billund, was closed for one hour. They both reopened by dawn. Up in the western Jutland region, drones were sighted over Sonderborg and Esbjerg airports, including the military airbase Skrydstrup where Denmark’s F-16 and F-35 fighter jets are housed. A military facility in Holstebro was also targeted by drones. Authorities stated that the drones behaved in a similar pattern to those that shut down Copenhagen airport Monday night.

Is there any explanation to this mystery?

At a Thursday press conference, Danish Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard said, “The goal of this kind of hybrid attack is to create fear … it is to create discord and it is to make us afraid.”

Hummelgaard added that the Danish government was working to “acquire new capabilities for detection” and create a bill that would “provide increased opportunities for infrastructure owners to also shoot down drones.”

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen spoke at a press conference on Thursday, saying:

“There can be no doubt that everything points to this being the work of a professional actor when we are talking about such a systematic operation in so many locations at virtually the same time … This is what I would define as a hybrid attack using different types of drones.”

On Tuesday, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said the drone incursions represented “a serious attack against critical infrastructure in Denmark.” When asked whether she believed the Russians were behind it all, Frederiksen said, “I cannot reject in any way that it could be Russia.”

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov denied any Russian involvement and responded to the accusation by saying, “A country that takes a serious position should probably not make such baseless accusations time and time again.” The Russian embassy in Denmark further added that drone sightings “are a staged provocation.”

NATO Spokesperson Mark Rutte commented on the social media platform X, “Just spoke with Denmark’s PM Mette Frederiksen about the drone situation, which we take very seriously. NATO Allies and Denmark are working together on how we can ensure the safety and security of our critical infrastructure.”

In a dramatic update, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Thursday summoned U.S. generals of one-star rank and up to assemble at Quantico Marine Corps base in northern Virginia next week for an emergency meeting. Chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell confirmed the meeting but no further details have been added.

The UAP disclosure community is not buying the “drone” theory. There is a suspicion that something more ominous is afoot. Ross Coulthart of News Nation, commenting on the drone incursions, stated:

“I don’t believe they are drones.

Something or someone is demonstrating an ability to operate with total impunity. The absolute assurance of knowledge that they cannot be tracked [or] detected.

They are operating craft of some kind which are far beyond the capabilities of existing known technology.”
